Health Care Lighting

A healthcare lighting project can include a great variety of luminaire types, styles and specifications. Ricoman was proud to supply lighting to a £4.6m health and wellbeing centre in Little Hulton which was voted as the 2021 Healthcare project of the year.

This is the Little Hulton Medical Practice. This new practice houses four local GP practices as well as podiatry, speech and language therapy, and diabetes clinics along with a smoking cessation service and mental health services, which will serve around 13,000 patients in the vicinity.

Ricoman lighting team worked closely with Bluesky Design Services.  Ricoman supplied the entire lighting package to a total area of 17,500 Sq Ft.

The main lighting products used were:

 

• Aquanvance IP66 panel lights in the waiting areas and the surgery rooms. These were DALI sim linked with CP sensors for maximum efficacy and smart controlling.

 

• Ultra-Slim downlights were mainly used in the reception and waiting areas

 

• Saturn adjustable scoop downlights were used for their wall washing effect in the communal areas

 

• Estrella Pro suspended linear fittings with opal diffusers were installed in the office/admin areas

 

• Alphard bulkheads and also Vanguard standalone emergency downlights were perfect for transition areas such as corridors and stairwells

 

• Blade slim exit sign was selected at the best exit signage solution
