The Rise School

RICOMAN completed a special school lighting project for  children with autism. RICOMAN is proud to have supplied education lighting for one of these primary schools.

The Rise School opened in September 2014 under the Government’s Free School programme. It is the first school to be opened by the Autism School’s Trust, a Multi Academy Trust. The school is registered for pupils aged 4 – 18 years who have autism. At full capacity, the school will have 96 pre-16 pupils on role plus up to 16 pupils in the sixth form.

This is our range of panel lights installed across the school:

RICOLite UGR panels, obsolete, now replaced by Verve UGR were used at the classrooms.

Aquavance IP66 panel lights in different sizes: 600×600, 1200×300 and 1200×600 were used in many different areas such as chemistry room, gym and atrium. Also, some custom made 300×300 sizes were made tailored to the schools needs to be installed in the entrance and corridors.

It is well documented that using the correct lighting in special schools can enhance the ability to concentrate, pupil well-being and safety; this is why we ensure the correct lighting specification is used in all of our educational lighting designs. The selection or LED lights used in Elements Primary School is just a small sample of what RICOMAN can supply to a lighting project for an education institute.

Our Academy curved linear luminaire is the type typically used in school and education environments, featuring exceptional efficacy of 120 lumens per watt, 4000K, TP(a) rated polycarbonate opal diffuser and also possibility to add antimicrobial coating for maximum hygiene protection.
