Manual Emergency - Manual / key switch test intergral emergency. The manual test function requires regular checks to be carried out by a designated responsible person, in line with the regulation recommendations. Tests are carried out by using a key-switch to disconnect the permanent live supply (L PERM) to the emergency fitting, thus simulating a power failure. |

Emergency Self Test - Self-testing emergency lighting checks itself automatically to ensure that the battery and lamp in each emergency light are fully operational. If a problem is detected by the self-test the system will display a visual warning in the led indicator. Initial function and duration tests are randomly generated. They are then performed in accordance with standard requirements (every 7 days for function tests and every 52 weeks for duration tests). |

Z10 Integral emergency with remote control testing - The Emergency Remote Control (R10-Z10) is sold seperatly and is required for remote control testing. The remote control provides the person responsible for the emergency lighting with the means to check battery life and the self-testing status; and carry out functional and full duration tests without needing the use of a ladder or a cherry picker – a key health and safety issue. Note that the remote control is required. (One remote can test multiple luminaires) |

DALI Enabled Emergency - would typically be used in an addressable self-test emergency lighting system. This device will receive DALI commands instructing it to initiate a certain test (short, functional tests every month, full 3-hour tests every year) and on completion of each test it will communicate the results, via DALI, back to the central control point. |
